Emergency Shelter Locations

Two emergency shelter locations have been identified in Fillmore, each capable of providing assistance to 200+ people each. Under ideal circumstances, 40 sq. ft. per person is needed to house a victim comfortably. When activated, the following locations will serve as emergency shelters operated by the American Red Cross:

The Veterans Memorial Building Shelter also contains a cargo container equipped with emergency supplies. In the event that additional supplies are needed, mobilization efforts will begin and supplies will be delivered as soon as possible.

The following supplies are on hand at the location:

  • 160 Adult Cots

  • 40 Child Cots

  • Blankets & Bedding

  • Adult & Child's Diapers

  • Toilet Paper

  • Limited Supply of Water & Meals Ready to Eat

  • First Aid Supplies

  • 200 Bath Towels

  • Comfort Kits Containing Basic Toiletries

  • Cleanup Kits for Post-Disaster Cleanup
